Juan Arguello's musical journey began at an early age, influenced by his cultural heritage and a deep love for music.
He was born and raised in Quito, Ecuador, where he was exposed to a rich tapestry of musical styles ranging from traditional Latin rhythms to contemporary rock and pop.
Juan's formal musical training started when he enrolled at Los Angeles College of Music, one of the nation’s top contemporary music colleges. There, he immersed himself in the study of bass music performance, honing his skills under the guidance of experienced instructors and collaborating with fellow musicians from diverse backgrounds.
Driven by his passion and dedication, Juan pursued further education at the Musicians Institute in Hollywood, CA where he earned a Bachelor’s Degree in contemporary music performance.
During his time at LACM, Juan's exceptional talent and professionalism caught the attention of faculty members, leading to his appointment as a faculty member himself shortly after graduating. In this role, he shared his expertise with aspiring musicians, helping them navigate the intricacies of various musical genres and develop their own unique styles.
Juan's musical journey took him to renowned stages across the United States and beyond. He made significant appearances at the legendary Van’s Warped Tour in 2018 and 2019, performing alongside iconic bands such as The Offspring, Simple Plan, The All-American Rejects, Dance Gavin Dance and many others.
His international ventures included touring in Europe with acclaimed bands like Rain City Drive (formerly known as Slaves) and Escape the Fate, where he contributed to the latter's 10-year "This War is Ours" album anniversary tour.
Back in Ecuador, Juan made a notable impact with his original band Arabella, whose music resonated with audiences nationwide. Their breakout single "Enough" soared to the 8th position on Ecuador's biggest radio station, gaining widespread acclaim and solidifying Juan's reputation as a versatile and skilled musician.
In addition to his success as a performer, Juan's prowess in music engineering and production has earned him recognition in the industry. He has collaborated with top-tier producers such as Max Martin, Steve Ornest of Total Access Recording, John Avila of Oingo Boingo, Hiram Hernandez (known for his work with Dragged Under and Killswitch Engage's Howard Jones), and Siegfried Meier, a respected figure in the punk and metal scenes.
Juan's credits extend to high-profile projects, including recording bass for Ariana Grande's "Imperfect for You - Acoustic" and working as an engineer for internationally renowned artists like David Guetta and 5 Seconds of Summer.
His technical expertise and artistic sensibilities have made him a sought-after professional in the music industry.
Currently, Juan is based in Hollywood, California, where he’ part of the dynamic team at Atlantic Records. Juan's ongoing dedication to his craft and his commitment to pushing musical boundaries underscore his status as a multifaceted talent and a driving force in the ever-evolving world of music.
