Juan Argüello is a bass player born and raised in Quito, Ecuador and is now based in Los Angeles, California. His career started in 2008 with David Rosales (drummer for Curare) as his musical mentor.
Juan is a graduate of the Los Angeles College of Music (LACM), where he received his Associate of Arts Degree in Bass Performance – here he studied under the direction of Jerry Watts Jr.
He is also a graduate of the Musicians Institute (MI) in Hollywood where he received a Bachelor’s Degree in Bass Performance under the direction of Maurice Verloop, head of the bass department.
His influences range from hard rock and blues to pop and funk and has been an active member of numerous groups including Obsidian Silence, Attaloss, She Tastes The Sun, Arabella, Survive The Tide and The World Over.
His work as a freelancer has also allowed him to record and perform with up and coming acts like Sofia Zorian, Rossis, Feli and the Lemonshakers, Valentina López and Kira Alexi.
